Super Mirror Polishing & Metal Finishing
At the heart of McAdam is specialist metal polishing and finishing. We produce everything from refined brushed and satin finishes through to exceptional super mirror finishes, working with stainless steel, aluminium, brass, copper and other specialist metals. Our focus is always on consistency, clarity and attention to detail, whether we're finishing a one-off component or delivering repeatable results across a larger project.
Fabrication
Working alongside our specialist finishing capabilities, we can provide bespoke metal fabrication for projects requiring a complete solution. From individual components to complex one-off pieces, fabrication can be carried out to suit the final finish from the outset. This allows us to maintain greater control over quality and produce components ready for the exact finish the project demands.
Spinning
Metal spinning provides an efficient way of creating seamless circular, cylindrical and conical components from sheet metal. Working with experienced specialists, we can produce bespoke forms for decorative, architectural and engineering applications, followed by the required McAdam finish, from a controlled satin surfaces through to super mirror polish.
Folding
We are able to provide precision sheet-metal folding for bespoke components and fabricated assemblies. Accurate bends, clean edges and careful material handling are particularly important when the finished components, will subsequently require polishing. By considering the final surface finish throughout manufacture, we can achieve a much cleaner and more consistent finished product.
Water Jet Cutting
Our water-jet cutting capability allows complex profiles and bespoke components to be produced accurately without introducing the heat associated with conventional thermal cutting. It is ideal for stainless steel, aluminium, brass and many other materials, from individual components and prototypes to decorative panels, architectural features and repeat production.
Sand Blasting
Sand blasting provides controlled surface preparation for components requiring cleaning, coating removal or a consistent textured finish. It can also form an important first stage in restoration and refinishing work, preparing the metal before subsequent finishing processes. We select the appropriate approach according to the material, condition and required final result.
